Losi: Mini JRX2 Brushed 2WD Buggy RTR

Today Losi is a super brand, part of the Horizon Hobby family, but back in the days Gil Losi Jr. and his father “Pops” started Team Losi selling homemade aftermarket radio control parts and accessories at their local skatepark snack bar, that later turned into a mini hobby shop.

Over the next ten years they purchased the famous “Ranch Pit Shop” and dedicated over three years to develop their first race-dedicated RC vehicle: the now-iconic JRX2. The original JRX2, with its graphite chassis and 5-link suspension, pushed the boundaries of what a competitive RC racer should be and is known today as one of the most innovative cars of all time.

Paying homage to the innovations that have shaped the RC culture, the new Mini-JRX2 combines nostalgia with a touch of present day. This ultra-scaled down version of the vintage buggy is designed as a tribute to the memory of the original JRX2.

Losi: Hammer Rey U4 4WD Rock Racer Brushless

Losi released the Hammer Rey U4: a SMART, Ready-to-Run Rock Racer with AVC. This truck is officially licensed and based off Casey Currie’s U4 Racer with a Spektrum 3150Kv brushless motor and managed by the Smart 130A ESC, 6-channel DSMR AVC/telemetry receiver, and the new DX3 transmitter that provides Spektrum Smart feedback including live battery voltage.

Along with the officially licensed design, the Hammer Rey includes KMC wheels, Nitto tires, and additional details such as new shock reservoirs, fire extinguishers, and new light bars.

Losi: Mini-B Rollers with Ryan Cavalieri & Dakotah Phend

Recently Losi released the Mini-B Pro Roller. Featuring TLR 2WD buggy engineering and performance in a 1/16th package, this mini buggy is terrain-tearing and track-ready that offers racers a chance to customize and finish their Mini-B the way they want. The 1/16th scale is stable on the track generating quicker speeds and improved handling.

In the video below the legendary factory drivers Ryan Cavalieri and Dakotah Phend play around with a couple of Losi Mini-B.

The Mint 400 took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 9-13, 2022 with 125 of the most competitive vehicles in desert racing, over 150 exhibitors, 400 race vehicles, and an estimated 20,000 people in attendance, there was no shortage of action this year. Horizon Hobby was there with the Losi Ford Raptor Baja Rey 2022 Mint 400 Limited Edition.

The Mint 400: The OLDEST and TOUGHEST off-road race in America!

The Mint 400 took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 9-13, 2022. With 125 of the most competitive vehicles in desert racing, over 150 exhibitors, 400 race vehicles, and an estimated 20,000 people in attendance, there was no shortage of action this year. The Mint 400 is one of the most celebrated and prestigious off-road races on the planet. It is an annual four-hundred-mile marathon race including some of the top off-road racers in the world in twenty-four different classes of vehicles.

Horizon Hobby attended the Mint 400 of 2022 as LOSI was the Official RC Truck of the event. The newest LOSI products were on display with demonstrations and a “try me” track set up for some hands-on fun.

New over at Horizon Hobby is the the Losi Ford Raptor Baja Rey 2022 Mint 400 Limited Edition: the perfect way for off-road enthusiasts to own a piece of Losi and Mint 400 history. This RC model comes equipped with a Spektrum Firma 3800Kv brushless power system, as well as a solid rear axle, independent front suspension, and appropriate suspension geometry, so you can tear across all types of desert off-road terrain.

The Mint 400 is the oldest and most prestigious off-road race in USA and is held each March in the treacherous foothills of Sin City. The multi-day event features a massive vehicle parade down the world famous Las Vegas Strip, a two day festival on historic Fremont Street, and two days of grueling off-road racing on a desolate and punishing 400-mile racecourse.
