Infinity is working on a new 1 / 8th scale racing nitro buggy. In recent days, the legendary Japanese driver Hatsushi Hara carried out a test at the Circuit Park Kiriyanai track in Aomori prefecture during a local competition.
Hatsushi Hara declared that: “The track is one of the largest in Japan and has a lot of elevation changes, making it challenging and exciting, and the conditions were perfect for testing the our Infinity 1/8 nitro buggy that we are currently developing.
The strong performance from the previous day’s test continued in the race, and although the car was quite fast, a driving errors caused the car to make a number of stupid mistakes and sit 2nd in qualify.
In the final race, I took the lead from the beginning of the race and was pulling away from the rest of the pack when my engine stalled due to the idling adjustment being too low during second refueling. I restarted the engine, but the gap to the leader was quite big. I pushed hard, setting track best lap time and finishing the race just 2 seconds behind. So I finished the race in 2nd place.
Considering that the car is still under development and we are not yet at the stage of finalizing the settings, the speed we achieved this time was one of the rewards.
The engine was also strong throughout the race, with excellent power and fuel economy, but due to temperature fluctuations, the idling adjustment did not best, and when the engine temperature dropped slightly, the idling dropped too much, causing the engine to stall.
I did not win the race, but I can only thank the people of local my friends for giving me the opportunity to meet and interact with them for the first time in a long time!
I hope to have the chance to visit there again!”
