Following a first teaser image, Tamiya have announced that new 1/10 Scale R/C Car Comical Grasshopper (WR-02CB Chassis) will be available from November 2018. The chassis is a variant of the WR-02 that features a centrally-mounted motor.

The Comical Grasshopper uses a sealed gearbox that contains the differential. The battery pack is located longitudinally in the rear of the car, the resulting weight distribution meaning that the vehicle performs breath-taking wheelies under sudden acceleration; a wheelie bar fitted to the back of the chassis ensures that the model does not flip over.
